Mr. Song Zhengping awarded as “Top ten foreign lawyers in Jiangsu Province”

Mr. Song Zhengping was awarded as “Top ten foreign lawyers in Jiangsu Province” in March 2018 by Department of Justice of Jiangsu Province, Department of Commerce of Jiangsu Province, China Council for Promotion of International Trade, Jiangsu Sub-council and Jiangsu Lawyers Association

Mr. Song Zhengping, who was awarded as “Top ten foreign lawyers in Jiangsu Province”, graduated from China University of Politics and Law. He went to Victoria University of Wellington, New Zealand for further study and was granted Master’s Degree of Law. In June 2003, he was delegated by the Ministry of Justice to participate in one-year Lord Chancellor’s Training Scheme in London. He was listed in “Senior Talents in Foreign Lawyers of Jiangsu Province” by Government of Jiangsu Province in 2007 and delegated to participate in International Trade Law Training Scheme in University of Maryland, the United States. In 2013, he was listed in “Leading Talents in Foreign Lawyers of China” by All China Lawyers Association (ACLA) and delegated to participate in Training Scheme in Germany. 

Mr. Song is representative of the CPC Wuxi Municipal Committee and legal adviser of Wuxi Municipal Committee. He serves as vice president of Jiangsu Lawyers Association, president of Wuxi Lawyers Association, judge of Jiangsu Province, member of the Prosecutor Selection Committee and Disciplinary Committee. He is listed arbitrator for Shanghai International Economic and Trade Arbitration Commission, Nanjing Arbitration Commission and Wuxi Arbitration Commission. He was honored with “Young and Middle-aged Experts with outstanding contributions in Wuxi of 2016” by Government of Wuxi City. 

His outstanding cases include: Providing legal services for joint venture for Comac C919; Acting for Far East Cable in demand guarantee case against Power Links International, which was reported by Legal Daily and was awarded as Excellent Cases in 2017 by Supreme People’s Court.
