Areas of practice

Ms. Wang Rui specializes in private equity (PE), mergers and acquisitions (M&A) and solar energy.

In the corporate practice area, Ms. Wang has provided legal service and advice on the establishment of enterprises, shareholding structure setting, long-term partnership schemes and equity incentive plans. Additionally, she has acted as the perennial legal counsel for a number of listed companies and non-listed companies (including large scale SOEs, private enterprises and foreign-invested enterprises), advising on all aspects of their daily operations including major contracts review, investment projects review, legal trainings for staff and compliance system construction. Her clients are from a range of sectors, involving high-end manufacturing, Internet big data and cultural communication.

In the area of private equity and M&A, Ms. Wang has advised many domestic and foreign clients on due diligence, transaction structure design, document drafting, negotiations, and legal consultation in such industries as energy/resources, securities, banking, software, real estate, retail, and manufacturing.

Ms. Wang also has extensive experience in the solar energy industry. Her clients include GCL group (the top one solar energy company in China) and other listed & non-listed solar energy companies. She has recently participated in a large number of photovoltaic M&A projects.

Work experience & Educational Background

Ms. Wang joined Sail Far Partners in 2011. She received her LLB degree from East China Normal University and her LLM degree from Amsterdam University, and was admitted as a PRC lawyer in 2013. During 2016, Ms. Wang received invitation from Herbert Smith Freehills (Australia) and worked there.
