Accomplishments

•  The team led by Mr. Wang has hosted 2005 Top Ten National IP Case (Copyright of Network Plug Case), 2008 Beijing Top 10 foreign merchant IP Protection Case (Case of World Executives Trademark and  trade name Conflict), 2009 Beijing Top 10 IP Cases/ 2009 50 Classic Cases of Chinese IP (fire curtain patent case), 2013 Top 10 cases of Patent Appeals (Dyson Invalid Patent Case), 2016 50 Classic IP Cases of the Supreme Court of China ( Time-honored Brand TONGDEFU trademark and Anti-Unfair Competition case). 

•  Mr. Wang was awarded ‘The First National Intellectual Property Talented Leader’, ‘National Overseas Lawyer Association Talent’, ‘SME International Service Star’, ‘Beijing Outstanding Lawyer Returning from Abroad’ and ‘Beijing Outstanding Intellectual Property Lawyer’. He was nominated as Candidate for Ten National Young Jurists in 2016.

Professional Affiliations

•  Mr. Wang is the expert member of the Ministry of Commerce Review Panel on ‘China Time-Honored Brands’, and IP expert member at Ministry of Industry and Information Technology. Concurrently, he serves as vice-chairman of Beijing Intellectual Property Services Association and Chaoyang Lawyers Association. He is also the Council Member of China Intellectual Property Society and China Science and Technology Legal Association, and serves as IP consultant at Beijing Chaoyang Government and the director of the Foreign Affairs Committee of Beijing Lawyers Association.

Publications

•  His IP collocation system has been adopted nationwide and his thought of IP index has subsequently been approved and publicized for eight consecutive years by State Intellectual Property Office and included as reference literature by the World Intellectual Property Organization. Mr. Wang undertook projects from State Intellectual Property Office, Ministry of Commerce, Jiangsu Province, and State Administration of Foreign Experts. He published Intellectual Property Rights of China Time-Honored Brands, China's Intellectual Property Index (publication series, the 8th version has been published), Company Legal Risk Prevention and Management, and Contemporary Legal Issues. Mr. Wang has been involved in Beijing Exhibition IPR Protection Measures, Protection of China Time-Honored Brands by Ministry of Commerce and other legislative measures. At the moment, he serves as the member of the drafting group of Patent Law Fourth Amendment (in charge of patent administrative protection issue) and member of the drafting group synchronizing the coverage of the two laws at office of cracking down counterfeit and infringement.

Professional Experience

•  He provided IP collocation advice and formulated IP strategy for Mengniu, China Aluminium, Rui Fu Xiang and Zhang Yi-Yuan. He resolved European-American IP disputes of Xu Gong Group, Dongfangtanye and other enterprises, protected IPR for the Renmin Education Press, XianZhengDa Enterprise etc. 

Education

•  He held double degrees on undergraduate study (law and literature) from Anhui University, and a LL.M. from Temple University.
