The Resume of Lawyer LI JIAN

Director of the Representative Office in Cambodian of Jiangsu Manxiu Law Firm and deputy director of International Business Department of Manxiu Law Firm. Working languages: Chinese and English. After several years of theoretical research and practice, Li Jian is experienced in foreign investment, international trade, intellectual property protection,etc. And he can provide full and comprehensive legal services for the establishment, transaction, human resource management and dispute settlement of foreign-funded enterprises. He has a unique understanding of the economic structure, legal framework and social culture of Southeast Asia, especially of the Cambodia, also has rich experiences in FDI in Cambodia. He has a deeper research on international commercial transactions and international commercial arbitration in Southeast Asian countries.

1.Representative Project

As the lead lawyer of the Cambodia side, he participated in the acquisition of Cambodian wood company by N home Holding Co., Ltd, a leading enterprise in China flooring industry. He provides Chinese client with a new M&A plan, which greatly shortens the time of M&A and reduces the M&A intermediary costs. (2019) 

M Energy Company needs to export a kind of wood product, which is within the    Cambodia's restriction export list. Li Jian assists the M Energy Company in obtaining an administrative order from the Cambodian government to obtain quotas for exporting such wood product and ensure the smooth export of the company. (2018)

Assist K building materials company to complete the enterprise change, which meets the double requirements of qualified investment projects in Cambodia and foreign investment filing of Chinese enterprises. As the lead lawyer, under the circumstances that the investment activities of K Company are almost in trouble and forced to withdraw its capital, Li Jian strives to help the company finally meet the double requirements of qualified investment projects in Cambodia and Chinese enterprises' foreign investment record, and obtain tax-free preferential treatment in Cambodia.(2017-2018)
